Viet Nam: Second Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Development Program

The Second Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Development Program (the program) comprised two subprograms: Subprogram 1—implemented from December 2010 to July 2011, and Subprogram 2—implemented from November 2013 to June 2014. The program was designed to assist the government’s implementation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) development policies in partnership with the Asian Development Bank.

Indonesia: Poverty Reduction and Millennium Development Goals Acceleration Program

The Program was to provide the resources, the flexibility, and an improved implementation framework to achieve the government’s Millennium Development Goals (MDG) targets more quickly. The program supported the achievement of the MDG targets 1 to 6 on poverty reduction, heath, education, and gender equality.

Viet Nam: Thanh Hoa City Comprehensive Socioeconomic Development Project

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) provided in 2007 a project preparatory technical assistance to prepare the Thanh Hoa City Comprehensive Socioeconomic Development Project. In 2009, the ADB Board of Directors approved a 32-year, $72 million equivalent Asian Development Fund loan and a $2 million Water Financing Partnership Facility (WFPF) grant to the Government of Viet Nam to implement the $117.9 million project to contribute to sustainable socioeconomic development of Thanh Hoa through a multisector project.

2018 Annual Evaluation Review

The 2018 Annual Evaluation Review (AER) adds new perspectives to the development effectiveness discussion in two areas. First, it introduces a new section on ADB’s development results by distilling key findings from its high-level evaluations to analyze changes that have taken place due to ADB’s interventions, particularly achievements in the institution’s strategic agendas, drivers of growth, and country programs.
