Key accomplishments in 2023
In 2023, the second year of executing its 2022–2024 work program,IDEV remained committed to its triple mandate: fostering learning, accountability, and an evaluation culture within the Bank and its Regional Member Countries (RMCs).
In 2023, IDEV launched 12 new evaluations and delivered 14 evaluation products that contributed to the work of the AfDB by providing insights on what worked well and identifying areas for improvement. IDEV emphasized knowledge sharing within and outside the AfDB to enhance decision-making and foster a culture of learning from evaluations, aiming to increase the Bank’s development effectiveness. IDEV expanded its influence in the evaluation community through training programs and global networks, promoting evidence-based decision-making in the AfDB’s regional member countries.
