Vacancy Announcement: Evaluation Senior Specialists, IADB
IADB OVE is looking for Senior Specialists to analyze and evaluate IDB’s and IDB Invest’s activities and provide leadership in evaluations.
The team: The Office of Evaluation and Oversight (OVE) is responsible for evaluating all aspects of the IDB Group's work. OVE undertakes independent and systematic evaluations of the IDB Group’s strategies, policies, programs, operations, activities, and systems and reports its findings to the IDB Group Boards, thereby contributing to accountability for development results and continuous learning and improvement. OVE disseminates its findings and recommendations internally and externally, thus supporting institutional transparency and learning by operational staff and the broader development community.
What you’ll do:

Undertake and Lead Evaluations: participate in complex evaluations and over time lead evaluations on topics related to the development effectiveness of IDB and IDB Invest programs and operations, as well as corporate issues.

Support IDB Group's Self-Evaluation System: support the development of a strong self-evaluation system notably by validating and over time reviewing management self-evaluations of public and private sector operations.

Contribute to Outreach: interact and build relationships with IDB and IDB Invest operational staff, with evaluation offices in partner institutions, and with other stakeholders to further knowledge sharing and the development of evaluation capacity.

Support to OVE’s Mission: Contribute to other activities aimed at furthering OVE’s mission and to improve the quality of its work, notably by providing relevant advice; participating to peer reviews of draft evaluations; providing guidance to and mentoring of junior OVE staff, research fellows and consultants; contributing to the development of other evaluation products; and actively participating in ad hoc working groups and other OVE initiatives.
