Uzbekistan: Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Corridor 2 Road Investment Program (Tranche 1)
The project is the first tranche of a multitranche financing facility (MFF) that focuses on reconstructing 222 km of road along the A380 highway and improving planning, project management, logistics, road asset management, and community facilities. The MFF is part of a series of interventions to improve the country's transportation system. The modality was deemed appropriate as it allowed engagement with the government over a longer period and opened the possibility for the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to partner in the sector.
