The Asian Development Bank (ADB) country partnership strategy (CPS), 2013–2017 for the Kyrgyz Republic aligned with country priorities and set the main objective as poverty reduction through inclusive economic growth. ADB’s program comprised loans, grants, and technical assistance (TA), approved, completed and ongoing, during 2013–2017, amounted to $1.1 billion. By sector, transport accounted for 37% of financing; energy comprised 29%, water and other urban infrastructure services, 15% education 8%, public-sector management 7%, and finance 5%.
