EBRD's Independent Functions: Contributing to a Stronger and More Effective Bank
As an organisation deeply committed to sustainable development and economic transition, EBRD hosts three lines of defense to ensure that it has confirmed evidence of its transition results, and it mitigates or avoids any harm done in due process.
The Independent Evaluation Department (IEvD), Internal Audit Department (IAD), and the Independent Project Accountability Mechanism (IPAM), play different but complementary functions to this end.
To this end, the three independent functions of EBRD produced a video as an introduction to our three independent functions with a hypothetical case study to illustrate where each Department would come in during a project’s life cycle.
